Welcome to Lazy Golfing

By using Lazy Golfing ("the Service"), you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully. Our platform is designed for recreational golfers who want to track their game and connect with other players.

Age & Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account or use this service. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old. If we learn that someone under 18 has created an account, we will delete it immediately.

Account Requirements

• You are responsible for maintaining your account security
• One account per person (no shared accounts)
• Accurate information is required for account creation

Billing and Cancellation

All subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually) unless cancelled before the renewal date.

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain full access until then.

Subscription Tiers

• Free: Round tracking, basic statistics, LazyCap, friends, groups, and monthly challenges at no cost.
• Pro ($5/month or $50/year): All free features plus Strokes Gained analytics, advanced statistics, data import/export, unlimited groups, 9-hole pairing, and CSV export.
• Commissioner ($50/league/year): All Pro features for every member of your league, plus full league management including formats, live scoring, divisions, scheduling, contests, and branding.

Refund Policy

We want you to love Lazy Golfing — that's why every paid feature comes with a 14-day free trial so you can evaluate the platform before committing. Because of this trial period, all fees are non-refundable once charged. We encourage you to make full use of the trial before purchasing.

If you experience a billing error (duplicate charge, incorrect amount), contact [email protected] and we will investigate and correct it promptly.

Commissioner Subscriptions

Commissioner subscriptions ($50/year) are billed annually and auto-renew. If cancelled, the league remains active through the end of the paid period. After expiry, the league enters read-only mode — all data is preserved but no new rounds, seasons, or events can be created until the subscription is renewed.

Free Trial

New commissioners receive a 14-day free trial with full league access. No payment information is required to start a trial. If you do not subscribe within 14 days, your league enters read-only mode automatically. Trial access is limited to one trial per league.

Acceptable Use

You agree to:

• Use the service for legitimate golf tracking purposes
• Provide accurate scores and round information
• Respect other users and maintain sportsmanship
• Not attempt to manipulate statistics or leaderboards
• Not create bot accounts, spam leagues, or abuse the trial system

No-Gambling Disclaimer: Lazy Golfing is a statistical tracking and league management platform. We do not facilitate, endorse, or process gambling transactions. Any financial settlements between players are conducted independently of this platform.

Your Content & User-Generated Content

You retain ownership of all content you submit to Lazy Golfing, including round data, scores, notes, photos, and reviews. By posting content, you grant Lazy Golfing a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, and distribute your content on the platform for the purpose of providing the Service.

You can export or delete your data at any time through your account settings.

Photo Uploads

When you upload photos to document your rounds:

• User Responsibility:You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to upload any photos. You are solely responsible for ensuring your uploads do not infringe on any third party's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.
• License Grant: By uploading photos, you grant Lazy Golfing a non-exclusive, worldwide license to store, display, optimize, and serve your uploaded photos solely for the purpose of providing the Service.
• Prohibited Content:You may not upload photos containing content you do not own, illegal or obscene content, or content that violates others' privacy.
• Content Removal: We reserve the right to remove any uploaded content at our sole discretion. If you believe content infringes your rights, contact [email protected]
• Data Deletion: You may delete your uploaded photos at any time through your account settings. Deleted photos are permanently removed from our servers.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lazy Golfing from any claims arising from your uploaded content.

Data Ownership & Your Rights

• Your data belongs to you. You can export it at any time via your profile settings.
• You may request full account deletion at any time. Deletion permanently removes all your data from our servers.
• You have the right to correct any inaccurate personal information via your profile settings.

Dispute Resolution

Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration under the AAA Consumer Arbitration Rules and Mediation Procedures, except that either party may bring claims in small claims court if eligible. This arbitration clause applies equally to both parties.

Class Action Waiver: You agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted on an individual basis, not as a class action or representative proceeding.

Opt-Out: You may opt out of this arbitration agreement within 30 days of creating your account by emailing [email protected] with the subject line "Arbitration Opt-Out". If you opt out, disputes will be resolved in the courts of the State of Michigan.

Informal Resolution First: Before initiating arbitration, you agree to contact us at [email protected] and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.

Fee Allocation: For claims under $10,000, Lazy Golfing will pay all arbitration filing and administration fees above what you would pay in small claims court filing fees.

If any part of this arbitration provision is found unenforceable, the remainder of these Terms shall continue in full force and effect.

Service Availability

We strive for high availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify affected users as soon as practicable and within the timeframe required by applicable law.

LazyCap Disclaimer

LazyCap calculations provided by Lazy Golfing are estimates for recreational use only. For official USGA/World Handicap System handicaps, please use an authorized handicap service provider.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You can delete your account at any time through your profile settings. If you have an active subscription, cancelling your account will also cancel your subscription at the end of the current billing period.
